The Mint has two core product lines which require special skills due to their value and the strict confidentiality required for their production.
These product lines are:

• Security documents

1.Banknotes and coins
Since we commenced production in 1965, the Central Bank of Nigeria has been relying on the expertise, the innovative power and the creativity of The MINT for the production of its banknotes and coins.

These banknotes are amongst the worlds most secure; their design s conveys aesthetics and confidence, and their prints tangibly convincing.

The volume of production, which was a little over 2 million notes per week at the initial stages, has presently risen to over 40 million notes per week.

In order to cope effectively with this high growth rate, The MINT has invested in the latest technology; thus engendering greater security and dependable delivery services

2. Security Documents
Security documents from the second major product line of he MINT account for about 25% of the company’s business. This product line involves the production of bank drafts, cheques, stamps, aerogramme, diplomatic documents and treasury bills. And we are proud to say that we endeavour to meet the national demands for all these products. For example, in a particular year, we produced over 100 million bank cheques and over 300 million postage stamps.

Also a grouped under the security documents product line is a wide variety of revenue collection and regulation instruments such as customs an d immigration documents, toll collection and entertainment tickets, tax receipts, examination papers, educational certificates, gift and fuel vouchers, purchase orders and lottery tickets. Other documents include ballot papers and election materials that require security printing.
